Protect your Lawn Underneath Play Areas

Under swings, at the end of slides or in bouncing areas it doesn’t take long for your lawn to look the worse for wear. And any moisture on heavily played lawns soon turns them to mud, which not only looks unattractive but also increases the risk of accidents. It also takes quite a while for damaged turf to grow back, resulting in the surface becoming hard when the weather’s dry and not cushioning your children when they fall. But that needn’t be the case!

This is why HUCK has various lawn protection mats in its range so that your lawn stays a lawn. Simply place the mats underneath the swing or play area and they grow into the lawn almost completely. There are 20 mm thick lawn protection mats especially for swings which are 90 cm wide and 150 cm long and made from recycled rubber.

For larger areas there are plastic-coated, close-mesh wire-mesh mats. They come on rolls, 5 metres wide and up to 25 metres long. Simple to put down and inserted by digging in the edges, they are abrasion-resistant and UV-resistant and can be mown over. HUCK offers a 10 year warranty on the material.

In addition to increased safety, lawn protection mats offer another advantage too: by stopping mud from forming in the play area, children do not bring dirt into the house, school or nursery.
